Talos Energy/TechnipFMC Alliance

Talos Energy Inc and TechnipFMC have entered into a long-term strategic alliance to develop and deliver technical and commercial solutions to Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects along the United States Gulf Coast. The alliance combines Talos's offshore operational strength and sub-surface expertise with TechnipFMC's extended history in subsea engineering, system integration and automation and control. Cultivated through a shared vision to responsibly deliver CCS solutions that will help to reduce the global carbon footprint, this innovative partnership will accelerate offshore CCS adoption with reliable, specialized CCS systems. Saulsbury’s Midland Basin EPC

Saulsbury was recently awarded the EPC contract for the design and installation of Pinnacle Midstream II's Dos Picos cryogenic processing facility in the Midland Basin. This facility, designed with a base-rated capacity of 200 MMSCFD, marks a major company milestone as Saulsbury's 60th cryogenic processing facility project since 2006, representing over 10.4 BCFD of processing capacity, and its 22nd cryogenic processing facility in the West Texas region. Saulsbury will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the processing facility that will include amine treating, molecular sieve dehydration, cryogenic gas processing, residue gas compression, nitrogen rejection, slug catching, condensate stabilization, and all balance of plant equipment, utilities, electrical, instrumentation, and controls infrastructure. Enbridge Completes Moda Deal

North American energy infrastructure company Enbridge has closed the acquisition of Moda Midstream Operating from Encap Flatrock Midstream for $3 billion. The deal was originally announced in September 2021. Enbridge now has a 100 percent operating interest in the former Moda Ingleside Energy Center (MIEC) which is now the Enbridge Ingleside Energy Center (EIEC). Marathon Engineer Named Rising Star

Kenai refinery engineer Raymond Ballard was named the 2021 Rising Star by the Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA) for his achievements in the oil and gas industry. The award honors a young professional, under the age of 35, who is making an immediate and definitive impact in Alaska. “Ray has been an exceptional leader at our refinery who stays focused on safe, compliant and reliable operations,” Kenai refinery Operations Department Manager Jim Grossl said. “He is always looking for ways to improve himself, his team and our refinery operations. We are excited his efforts are being recognized with an industry award like this.” Ballard joined the Kenai refinery in 2015 as a process engineer and was promoted to foreman, technical services supervisor, and then to his current role as an operations supervisor. He started his career in the oil and gas industry as a chief technical advisor for Honeywell UOP, providing commissioning and startup service for refinery process units in Turkey, Italy, China, Brazil, Czech Republic, Spain, Israel, and the US. Ballard received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Certificate of Leadership Studies from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2010. Chevron’s Net Zero Aspiration

Chevron Corporation has issued an updated climate change resilience report that further details the company’s ambition to advance a lower carbon future. Chevron adopted a 2050 net zero aspiration for equity upstream Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
