AXP Energy reports early production update

AXP Energy Limited has provided an operational update on its Charlie #1 well in Noble County, Oklahoma, following approximately 30 days of initial production. Early results show intermittent oil production of up to 25 barrels per day and steady gas output of around 60 thousand cubic feet per day, totaling approximately 35 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The well has been produced at a conservative trial rate of 250 barrels of fluid per day to manage saltwater handling and assess reservoir behavior, as Charlie #1 is the first producing well on the lease and currently relies on off-site saltwater disposal. Fluid levels have remained stable, indicating the well can support higher production rates, and a formal 30-day initial production rate has not yet been reported... > read more

Archer secures drilling contract

Archer Limited has announced the signing of a new five-year contract with YPF for the provision of drilling services in Vaca Muerta, Argentina. Valued at an estimated 600 million dollars, the agreement covers the provision and operation of seven advanced drilling rigs and represents a further strengthening of the long-standing collaboration between the two companies to deliver safe, efficient and technologically advanced drilling operations in the region. Under the terms of the contract, Archer will provide and operate seven drilling rigs equipped with integrated Managed Pressure Drilling systems. Two of the rigs will be leased internationally, adding additional drilling capacity to Argentina’s onshore sector. In addition to the firm five-year term, the agreement includes an option to extend for a further two years... > read more

Atlas Energy Solutions announces acquisition

Atlas Energy Solutions Inc. has completed the acquisition of PropFlow, LLC, a leading provider of patented on-wellsite proppant filtration technology. Baker Hughes launches GuardVibe

Energy technology company Baker Hughes announced Thursday the commercial launch of its GuardVibe™ torsional vibration dampener, introducing an innovative solution designed to address the persistent challenge of high-frequency torsional drill string vibrations in oil and gas drilling operations. The new technology promises to extend bottom hole assembly (BHA) service life while reducing capital costs and minimizing unplanned downtime for operators. The GuardVibe system distinguishes itself from conventional vibration mitigation technologies through its unique approach to torsional vibration management. Rather than focusing on traditional bit-induced stick-slip management methods, the technology employs internal inertia mass to actively counteract torsional vibrations. This field-proven design eliminates the mechanical and electrical failure mechanisms that have historically plagued existing solutions, addressing long-standing reliability concerns in the drilling industry... > read more

ConocoPhillips boosts processing efficiency

ConocoPhillips has significantly enhanced its Zia Hills asset in New Mexico with the launch of Zia Hills Central Facility 2 (CF2), a state-of-the-art processing facility that optimizes operational costs, expands capacity, reduces surface footprint, and curbs emissions. CF2, operational since January 2024, integrates with the existing CF1 facility within the 13,000-acre Delaware Basin East unit. The new facility processes up to 30,000 barrels of oil per day and 75,000 barrels of water per day, compared to CF1's capacity of 18,000 barrels of oil and 30,000 barrels of water daily. Both facilities can process 120 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day.... > read more
