Enersea has introduced a new LNG Loading Platform concept designed to provide a lower-cost alternative to conventional jetty-based LNG import infrastructure.
The platform has been developed for shallow offshore and nearshore environments, where it is intended to reduce offshore construction requirements, shorten project schedules and lower overall development costs. According to the company, the compact structure can be fully assembled onshore before being installed offshore in a single lift, helping to minimise installation risks and execution time.
The concept has recently been validated through a positive evaluation as part of a major LNG infrastructure development project in South America. The assessment demonstrated the platform’s potential to simplify terminal construction while accelerating project delivery and reducing overall costs.
Enersea said the LNG Loading Platform draws on its offshore engineering expertise to deliver infrastructure solutions that reduce project complexity, improve execution efficiency and support more cost-effective LNG terminal developments.
