Since its inception, the New Vallourec plan has focused on industrial excellence to elevate the premiumization of Vallourec’s offerings and solutions. As part of its ongoing drive to achieve best-in-class global performance, Vallourec has announced the creation of a new Operations Department and the reinforcement of its Process and Engineering Department.
The Process and Engineering Department will now encompass the Process Communities, the Global Engineering Department, and the Investment Department, with the goal of providing Vallourec with the most advanced technologies and the most efficient industrial processes. Philippe Carlier, a member of the Executive Committee, will lead the department, tasked with driving the company’s mission to deliver products and services with increasing efficiency.
This enhanced Process and Engineering Department will be integrated into a new Operations Department, which will be headed by Bertrand Frischmann, also a member of the Executive Committee, who has been appointed COO. In addition to overseeing North and South American operations, this department will now include the Eastern Hemisphere Industrial Department, as well as functions such as Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality and industrialisation, and Operational Excellence.
This new organisational structure, which takes effect immediately, marks a significant milestone in the execution of the New Vallourec plan. It is designed to better align with the company’s ambition to focus on value over volume by maximising the integration of operations and support functions. As part of his expanded role, Bertrand Frischmann will relocate to Meudon next summer.
