Technip Energies announced today the appointment of Robert Scott as managing director for the Americas. In his new role, Scott will oversee the company’s operating centers in Houston, Claremont, Boston, and Bogota, bringing his extensive leadership experience to the forefront of Technip Energies’ operations in the region.
Scott joins Technip Energies from Birdon America, a maritime engineering and construction firm, where he served as president and was responsible for business operations and strategy. Prior to this, he spent over a decade at Bechtel, holding various leadership roles, including leading Bechtel’s Operational Technology Cybersecurity business.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, Scott is a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having been awarded the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star medals among his many honors. Based in Houston, he has dedicated significant volunteer time to assisting veterans in transitioning to the civilian workforce. Scott also serves on the Executive Board of Give an Hour®, a nonprofit organization focused on improving mental health for active military personnel, veterans, and their families.
