MPI announces 2025 champion award recipients

The Master Painters Institute, a subsidiary of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance, has announced the winners of its inaugural 2025 MPI Champion Awards. This new program recognises paint and coatings manufacturers excelling in innovation, sustainability, education, and industry commitment.

The 2025 MPI Champion Awards honour leading manufacturers across four key categories:

  • Product Performance Champions: Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Co., and PPG Pittsburgh Paints
  • Green Performance Champion: Behr Process Corporation
  • Coatings Education Champion: Benjamin Moore and Co.
  • Commitment Champion: Harris Paints International, Ltd.

 

MPI president Pam Nicoletti expressed pride in the initiative, stating: “The MPI Champion Program is more than an awards initiative—it’s a celebration of the vision, integrity, and leadership shaping the future of the coatings industry. These champions have set new benchmarks for excellence, and their contributions inspire progress across the entire sector.”

The MPI Champion Awards acknowledge exceptional advancements in coatings technology, environmental responsibility, and industry education. Awardees were selected based on stringent criteria, including product performance on MPI’s Approved Products List, participation in educational initiatives, and adherence to MPI systems and standards.
