Ironwood Midstream announces two significant promotions within its executive leadership team

Ironwood Midstream Energy Partners II, LLC (Ironwood II) has announced two significant promotions within its executive leadership team. Justin Johnson has been promoted to the position of president from his previous role as chief commercial officer, while Tyler Mason has been promoted to chief commercial officer from his previous position as vice president of commercial. The company’s founder, Mike Williams, will continue to lead Ironwood as the chief executive officer.

Ironwood II’s chief executive officer, Mike Williams, expressed his excitement about the promotions of Justin Johnson and Tyler Mason, acknowledging their contributions to the growth and development of the company. Williams stated that both individuals are well-equipped to execute the company’s strategic initiatives as Ironwood continues to expand its portfolio of energy infrastructure assets in South Texas. He highlighted their skills, industry relationships, and collaborative approach, expressing confidence in their ability to benefit Ironwood.

Justin Johnson, the newly appointed president, joined Ironwood in 2017 as the chief financial officer and later assumed the role of chief commercial officer in 2021. Prior to joining Ironwood, Johnson held positions such as chief financial officer at Palmera Resources and leadership roles in corporate development, finance, treasury, and accounting at Amromco Energy, Quantum Resources, and Carrizo Oil & Gas.

Tyler Mason, the new chief commercial officer, joined Ironwood in 2021 as the vice president of commercial. Previously, Mason spent nearly nine years at Howard Energy Partners, where he served as vice president of business development, overseeing the negotiation and execution of midstream projects across multiple basins in the United States. He has also worked for Southwestern Energy.

Ironwood recently completed the construction of the Ironwood Express Pipeline, a trunkline stretching approximately 45 miles through Gonzales and Karnes counties in South Texas. The pipeline enables Ironwood to provide its customers with seamless market access to key ports, refineries, processing facilities, and chemical complexes along the Gulf Coast region. With significant crude oil and natural gas gathering and transportation capacity, Ironwood offers its customers access to critical markets in Corpus Christi, Houston, Sweeny, Three Rivers, and other locations.
