Following in the footsteps of the main headquarters, named ‘The Hive’, that opened in August 2017, the impending ION Technology Centre is an innovative dedicated building for both sensor research and instrumentation development.
ION has outgrown its headquarters as the demand for accurate and reliable gas sensors and detectors only continues to grow.
The purpose-built facility boasts a fully equipped sensors research laboratory, prototyping laboratory for product testing, and a metrology laboratory to allow the research team to make the latest technological advancements in gas analysis and detection.
The building will share similar environmental design aspects to the headquarters and benefit from renewable energy via the SV system producing Solar Energy. The business encourages electric vehicle use and to support this, EV Charging Stations will be installed in the car park.
The build is expected to be completed within the next year, the further expansion of ION’s facilities will enable the business to continue to be the leader in gas sensing technology.
