dmg events announces the nominees for the 2023 Carbon Capture Canada Awards. The gala is scheduled to take place on Sept. 13, 2023 at the Edmonton Convention Centre and will recognize 19 final nominees in six categories. All categories celebrate accomplishments made over the last 12 months that have showcased leadership, innovation and sustainable solutions promoting advancement and deployment in the CCUS sector.
The Awards Judges, made up of seven industry experts, are impressed with the many nominations submitted for the inaugural Carbon Capture Canada Awards. “This year’s nominees showcase outstanding performance, innovation and leadership within the CCUS industry. The 2023 Carbon Capture Canada Awards are an important opportunity to recognize and celebrate the excellence and the progress being made by individuals and companies within the CCUS sector.” says Awards Judge Renee Hjorth, Sr. Manager, Genesee Sustainability & Carbon Transition Capital Power.
Another judge, Dr. Maryam Mkhani, Director – CCUS Strategy, Worley added, “CCUS is part of the world’s energy transition to a low-carbon energy system and industries. It can be a viable option to drastically reduce CO2 emissions and get us all closer to net zero. This is why it’s so important to celebrate and recognize scientists, technology developers, innovators, integrators, policymakers, leaders, and community builders for their work in advancing and enabling CCUS solutions.
