Argent LNG has announced the appointment of David Dickson, former CEO of McDermott International and current MD and CEO of Lake Resources, to its Advisory Board. The appointment comes as the company accelerates development of its flagship U.S. LNG export project in Port Fourchon, Louisiana.
Dickson brings over 30 years of global engineering, procurement, and construction leadership experience to his new role. His track record includes delivering some of the world’s most complex energy infrastructure projects, notably Cameron LNG and Freeport LNG, which represent two of North America’s landmark LNG export facilities.

The industry veteran’s expertise encompasses several critical areas that align with Argent LNG’s development objectives. His strengths include driving modular execution strategies, managing multi-billion-dollar programs, and leading high-performing technical teams. Additionally, Dickson has demonstrated capabilities in strengthening partnerships with top-tier technology providers and navigating complex global markets.
The timing of Dickson’s appointment coincides with a pivotal phase in Argent LNG’s development trajectory. The company is working toward delivering up to 25 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of lower-carbon LNG by 2030, with goals of enhancing energy security and advancing global decarbonization efforts.
Argent LNG’s Port Fourchon project represents the company’s vision to establish what it describes as the Gulf Coast’s most innovative LNG hub. The facility is positioned to capitalize on the growing global demand for cleaner energy solutions while leveraging Louisiana’s strategic location and infrastructure advantages.
The addition of Dickson to the Advisory Board reflects Argent LNG’s commitment to assembling experienced leadership as it advances through the complex development phases of large-scale LNG infrastructure. His appointment is expected to provide valuable guidance as the company navigates the technical, commercial, and regulatory challenges inherent in developing world-class LNG export facilities.
