Trace Midstream Partners II has announced plans to construct the Apollo Gas Plant, a new 250 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) natural gas processing facility in Eddy County, New Mexico.
The project, backed by Trace’s parent company Quantum Capital Group, will also include 36 miles of gathering pipelines and two compressor stations. Supported by multiple long-term agreements with new and existing customers, the infrastructure is expected to enter service in the fourth quarter of 2027.

The Apollo Gas Plant will provide producers in the Northern Delaware Basin with an integrated midstream solution covering low-pressure gathering, compression, transportation and natural gas processing.
Trace Chief Executive Officer Josh Weber said the project would expand the company’s capabilities across the natural gas value chain by adding processing capacity to its existing gathering, compression and transportation network.
The development builds on continued investment in the Trace system, which, following completion of the new facilities, will include more than 200 miles of pipelines, 14 compressor stations and over 125,000 horsepower of compression capacity.
Trace said the expanded network will create one of the largest newly constructed natural gas midstream systems in the Northern Delaware Basin, with the capability to gather and transport more than 800 MMcf/d and provide producers with an integrated connection from the wellhead to market.
