Wood PLC Appoints Carmona

Consulting and engineering expert in the oil and gas market Wood PLC has appointed German Carmona as the president of its Applied Intelligence business, to further strengthen its consulting services and technical leadership in enabling the digital transformation of Wood’s clients.

As it builds towards a net-zero world, there is heightened pressure to transform both business and operations through digital innovation, to enable organizations to fulfill current and future global energy needs, and to drive the energy transition and advance Industry 4.0 adoption.

With almost 30 years’ experience across various industrial sectors, German brings extensive expertise in defining and executing digital transformation programs.

As a global change leader, German has successfully revolutionized businesses in challenging and uncertain markets. He joins Wood from NEORIS, a global digital accelerator, where he most recently led the Digital Transformation consulting practice.

In his new role, German will focus on building Wood’s differentiated capabilities, translating strategies into action, and leveraging cross-industry expertise to help the company’s clients transform and create value through digital innovation.

He will also evolve the deep technical domain knowledge of the Applied Intelligence business to extend across adjacent end markets, while building on Wood’s extensive experience within existing energy and industrial markets.
