Leathers’ New Role

Read Time: 2 mins

The Westlake, Texas-based pipeline company Pipeline Plastics has promoted Mike Leathers to CEO.

Pipeline Plastics manufactures high-performance polyethylene pipe used primarily for water infrastructure in oil and gas, mining, industrial and municipal applications.

Leathers, who has been serving as the president and chief operating officer of Pipeline Plastics, will continue to champion Pipeline Plastics’ role within the industry as a manufacturer of leak-free, corrosion-resistant HDPE pressure pipe with capacity up to 65” in diameter.

Leathers has been pivotal in the diversification of the company into the natural gas distribution pipe segment and in the geographic expansion with a new plant in North Carolina.

“We are pleased to announce Mike’s promotion within the organization,” said Monty Fisher, founder, and board member. “We have built a great company and Mike will continue PLP’s growth and value creation,” he said.

Mike Leathers has been a member of the Pipeline Plastics leadership team since 2018. Prior to joining Pipeline Plastics, Mike was President & Executive Vice President for Thompson Pipe Group.

“I am thrilled to continue working alongside our amazing team at Pipeline Plastics,” said Leathers. “The support I’ve received from the board has been incredible and I am excited about this new opportunity.”
